A few runs together
You don’t need a perfect match for the whole day. Start with terrain you both enjoy.
WHEN YOUR SKI PLANS FALL THROUGH.
They’re hurt. They wake up feeling unwell. Work calls. Suddenly, you’re skiing alone.
SkiBuddy is your backup plan when your usual ski buddy can’t join you. Tell us where you’ll ski, which kind of runs you enjoy and when you’re available. Let SkiBuddy help you find someone to share some turns with—even when plans change that very morning.

A BACKUP PLAN FOR YOUR SKI DAY.
You’ve made time for the mountain, but the person you planned to ski with can’t go. SkiBuddy is designed for that moment: a way to look for compatible company without needing a whole new group of friends.
You don’t need a perfect match for the whole day. Start with terrain you both enjoy.
Choose “Available now” or a later start. We look for overlapping time, not identical schedules.
A suggestion is an introduction, not a commitment. You both decide before chatting.
Use a first name. Your sign-in email is hidden from other skiers. No phone number or birth date is required.
COMPANY MATTERS ON THE MOUNTAIN.
The point isn’t just a more sociable chairlift ride. It’s finding someone to ski with when you’d otherwise be alone—and agreeing to stay together and check in along the way.
Skiing with a companion is particularly important around tree wells and deep snow. Read the National Ski Areas Association’s guidance
An introduction is not a safety guarantee. SkiBuddy does not verify rescue skills, monitor your location or replace ski patrol. Follow resort guidance and stay within your abilities.
OVERLAP, NOT IDENTICAL ANSWERS
When you need a ski buddy at short notice, identical preferences shouldn’t be a barrier. If you both choose blue runs, that gives you somewhere to start. Their extra terrain choices don’t disqualify them.
Each suggestion explains the terrain, mountain and time you have in common. You decide whether it feels right.
AN EXAMPLE OF A SOFT MATCH
A soft match means some preferences differ, but there is terrain you both selected. It isn’t a skill or safety assessment.
FROM “I CAN’T MAKE IT” TO A NEW PLAN.
Choose the terrain you’re comfortable sharing, from gentle runs to double-black diamonds.
Already at the mountain? Choose “Available now.” Otherwise, enter your start time and the mountains you’re willing to ski.
Review a suggestion, connect by mutual choice, then use the conversation to agree where to meet.
You decide who to ski with. No contact details are shared—only the first name in your profile. An introduction never commits you to a day together.
GOOD TO KNOW
That is the main idea. If your usual ski buddy is injured, feels unwell or gets called into work, you can look for someone available now or later today. A real introduction will depend on compatible skiers being available; a match is never guaranteed.
At least one shared terrain choice, at least one mountain you both selected, and a similar timetable. Neither your complete terrain list nor your exact start time has to match.
For now, choose every mountain you’d actually be willing to ski. We only suggest a mountain both people selected. A map and drive-time preferences are planned; nearby does not automatically mean convenient.
Your email is used for sign-in and is hidden from other skiers. Chat opens after both sides accept. You can block or report a skier from their suggestion or conversation. The site owner can access test data to investigate problems.
This is an invitation-only test with real accounts. Suggestions depend on another tester posting compatible plans. Sign-in emails are reviewed before sending during the test.
No. We show the terrain you both chose. A ski buddy’s additional black-diamond preference doesn’t change your blue-run preference. Agree your plans together.
Adults 18 and older who want company for in-bounds skiing. You choose your own runs and meeting arrangements; SkiBuddy is not a guide or emergency service.
